Course Overview

This e-learning course is supported fully online, with a full online induction programme.

You’ll focus on essential areas like managing resources, managing change and developing people. After successfully completing the course and an assessed work-based assignment, you’ll be awarded the Introductory Certificate – and be eligible for Associate Membership (AInstLM) of the ILM.

Participants will normally be either practising or aspiring first line managers.

Support

This course is supported by effective teaching materials combined with support systems to provide an excellent learning environment.

The actual modules are supported by the latest management literature. Candidates have access to support at work, home or even on vacation and can access from any internet connection. The modules are, of course, just one part of the experience with the tried and tested learner management system, the peer and expert support adding to the rich experience of our members.

Assessment

The Introductory Certificate in First Line Management is awarded to participants who satisfactorily complete:
> The Programme of Learning and Development
> The Assessed Work-based Assignment

Your Future Prospects

Successful completion of the Introductory Certificate in First Line Management provides eligibility for Affiliate membership of the Institute of Leadership & Management.
